Prompt
Every weekday at 9 AM Pacific for the next four weeks, use GitHub to check the open pull requests in [owner/repo]. In one message in ChatGPT, list three groups: pull requests waiting on my review or my reply, pull requests with no activity for more than 3 days, and pull requests with failing checks. For each, give the title, link, author and one line on what's blocking it. Skip draft pull requests unless they're waiting on me. Don't approve, request changes, comment, merge, close or re-run anything. If all three groups are empty, say so in one line. Confirm the schedule.

Paste it into your dot's conversation in ChatGPT. Edit anything in [brackets] first.

How it works

  1. Connect GitHub through Plugins and check that it can see the repository. Reading is enough for this job.
  2. Replace the repository name, change the time and time zone to yours, and paste. Your dot should confirm the schedule back to you. You can review it later under Scheduled in your dot’s profile.
  3. The digest arrives in ChatGPT each weekday. For a failing pull request, ask your dot in the same conversation to look into it. Through GitHub it can investigate code and prepare changes, and you decide what gets pushed.
  4. The prompt ends after four weeks. OpenAI recommends giving recurring work an end date.
