Prompt
Research [topic] for me. I need it to [the decision or question this is for]. Look for primary sources first, such as official documentation, filings, studies and company announcements, and use news or commentary only to fill gaps. Report back in ChatGPT with a one-paragraph answer, then five to eight key findings, each with a link to its source and the source's date. Keep what the sources say separate from your own reading of them, note where sources disagree, and list the questions you couldn't answer. Don't pay for, sign up for or fill out anything, and don't contact anyone while researching.

Paste it into your dot's conversation in ChatGPT. Edit anything in [brackets] first.

How it works

  1. Fill in the topic and what the research is for. The purpose tells your dot which sources matter.
  2. Paste the prompt. Your dot researches in its own cloud browser, so you can keep talking to it or close the app.
  3. Open the links for the findings you’ll rely on. Your dot can make mistakes, and the dates show how current each source is.
  4. Reply in the same conversation to go deeper on one finding or to add a question.

If a site blocks cloud browsers, you can ask your dot to try a connected computer instead.
